A confidence-building series OF SMALL-GROUP SURF SESSIONS.
With a 1:4 maximum instructor-to-student ratio, kids are coached as a group alongside their peers — building both individual independence in the water and a genuine sense of camaraderie.*
Our beach camp is small and friendly, with family and friends welcome to come and enjoy time together.
Our experienced, CPR/First Aid certified instructors focus on surf skills, ocean awareness, and decision-making so every kid leaves more capable and more connected.
Sessions will consist of a combination of surf coaching, boogie boarding and ocean time. Those who are more experienced surfers will be encouraged to practice independently with oversight.
Safety and fun are our number 1 priorities - then progress will come naturally!
Wetsuits and boards provided.
*Please note: Junior Pelicans is open to beginner and intermediate surfers of all experience levels — including those who are new to the ocean. We do however require that all children taking part in a group session are competent swimmers.
If you have any questions about whether your child is ready for a group surf session please reach out — we love helping families find the right fit and are always happy to chat. For those requiring more support we will continue to offer 1:1 surf instruction throughout the year.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION TERMS
All packages are valid on advertised Junior Pelicans Summer Series dates only. Sessions outside of these dates are available as private bookings at standard rates. Package payment is made in full at the time of booking. Sessions are reschedulable with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Sessions are confirmed on receipt of payment and subject to a minimum of 3 participants. In the event a session does not meet the minimum, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
Bookings close 48 hours before each session. We are unable to accommodate late or drop-in bookings as group sizes are kept intentionally small.
Package payments are made in full at the time of booking. Individual sessions within a package are non-refundable but may be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Single session bookings are non-refundable within 48 hours of the session start time. Cancellations made before this window will receive a full refund or credit toward a future session.
Pelican Ocean Therapy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unsafe ocean or weather conditions. In this event all affected participants will be offered a replacement date or full refund.
We are not a drop of summer camp. All participants must have a parent or guardian present on the beach for the duration of the session.
