A confidence-building series OF SMALL-GROUP SURF SESSIONS.
Small groups, experienced instructors, and a relaxed beach setting where kids build real surf skills alongside their peers. With a maximum of 4 kids per instructor, every child gets personal attention, more wave time and genuine progression every session.
This is a small, family-style programme — not a drop-off camp. Parents, siblings and friends are warmly welcomed on the beach. Some surf alongside the kids, some set up and relax, some cheer from the shore. However you choose to spend the morning, you're part of the family!
Sessions include surf coaching, boogie boarding and open ocean time. More experienced surfers are encouraged to practice independently — building confidence and decision-making alongside their group.
Our team is led by JP Peli with over 20 years of teaching experience, supported by experienced watermen and waterwomen who know and love the ocean.

Wetsuits and boards provided.
Junior Pelicans is open to all experience levels including kids new to the ocean. We ask that all participants are competent swimmers. If you're unsure whether the programme is right for your child please get in touch before booking — we're happy to help find the right fit. For children who need more individual support, 1:1 instruction is available year round.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION TERMS
All packages are valid on advertised Junior Pelicans Summer Series dates only. Sessions outside of these dates are available as private bookings at standard rates. Package payment is made in full at the time of booking. Sessions are reschedulable with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Sessions are confirmed on receipt of payment and subject to a minimum of 3 participants. In the event a session does not meet the minimum, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
Bookings close 48 hours before each session. We are unable to accommodate late or drop-in bookings as group sizes are kept intentionally small.
Package payments are made in full at the time of booking. Individual sessions within a package are non-refundable but may be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Single session bookings are non-refundable within 48 hours of the session start time. Cancellations made before this window will receive a full refund or credit toward a future session.
Pelican Ocean Therapy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unsafe ocean or weather conditions. In this event all affected participants will be offered a replacement date or full refund.
We are not a drop of summer camp. All participants must have a parent or guardian present on the beach for the duration of the session.
